Grosvenor WM proudly supports charity organisation DENS

As an official business partner, we strive to promote the charity, their amazing work among the local community and how we can further support them in their efforts to tackle homelessness, poverty and social exclusion in the borough.

Who are DENS?

Established in 2003, Dacorum-based charity, DENS, aims to be the first port of call for people facing homelessness, poverty and social exclusion. They ensure people have access to immediate support, and many other vital provisions as well as providing comprehensive solutions to move towards independent living.

Most people know DENS as the homeless charity for people in Dacorum. In fact, DENS do so much more than just provide a roof over people’s heads and a bed for the night. Their aim is to be the first port of call for people in Dacorum who are facing homelessness, poverty and social exclusion; to support and empower them to take the next positive step in their lives.

They ensure their clients have access to temporary and short-term accommodation, and individuals and families have access to emergency food and provisions. DENS provide accommodation options to support people to move on and sustain their own tenancy and provide advice and training; empowering people to develop their skills and build confidence.

How does Grosvenor support DENS?

We’re passionate when it comes to supporting social charities and we are increasing our support for the DENS team. We promote DENS through the Grosvenor website and social media, to ensure their visibility and brand is maximised through all relevant channels. If there is a fundraising event or an important announcement at DENS that they would like shared, Grosvenor actively will reshare the story through our website. A new landing page is currently being constructed to help drive the awareness of our partnership and our support of the charity. This will be a good base for Grosvenor to post and share the charity’s announcements and our own collaborative event pictures.

We believe that social responsibility also needs to extend to financial support. So, if a professional, such as an accountant or solicitor, refers a client to us and generates a referral fee, we ask if they would like to donate this to DENS.

At Grosvenor, we also love a good challenge, especially if it can raise money for a charity, whether it be a charity swim, cycle or running event. So, whenever one of our staff is preparing to take on a challenge, we’ll encourage them to set up a fundraising page and donate the proceeds to DENS.

Upcoming fundraising activity – Go Yellow Week

From Monday 21st to Sunday 27th June, DENS are asking the public to bring their friends, family and colleagues together for Go Yellow Week, and donate to DENS. Every penny raised from Go Yellow Week will count towards families and individuals across Dacorum facing homelessness, poverty and social exclusion to take the next positive step in their lives.

Grosvenor is looking forward to getting creative during Go Yellow Week and coming together as a team to raise money for DENS. There is so much we can do to promote this event. Coming to work in a yellow shirt, socks or tie, baking cupcakes with yellow icing, decorating the office with yellow balloons, ribbon and bunting.

Whatever we do, please share your photos with us by emailing us at marketing@gwmfs.co.uk or on our Facebook page at  to get the rest of you motivated and involved.
