At Grosvenor Wealth Management, we realise that if you are just starting your working life, one of the last things you want to think about is financial planning. Yet, even at this early stage in your career, you’ll have dreams and ambitions that will need some form of financial capital to help you achieve them.

You may want to save up so you can afford to go travelling for a few months, to buy a car, or to buy your own home. Looking further ahead, you may have ambitions to set up your own business or start a family.

It’s perfectly understandable to want to enjoy the rewards of your first job straight away. But we believe you should be able to have the cash you need throughout your life, whenever you need it most. That’s why we have developed Life Plan – an approach that helps you to plan your finances so you have the funds available to enjoy the rewards of your work well into the future.

Designing your Life Plan

Grosvenor believe you should be able to have the cash you need in life, whenever you need it. That’s where our Life Plan service comes into play. It’s an approach to lifelong financial planning that acknowledges all your dreams and ambitions and sets out a plan to help you achieve them.

How does it work? We’ll sit down with you to look at your future priorities and needs and what financial support they require. We’ll even talk to you about areas such as your attitude to risk – all so we can work out the best investment approach for you. Then we’ll work with you to design a personal Life Plan that makes your money work harder for you and helps you to take control of your financial future.

It’s about understanding all your financial needs so we can support you in any way we can, from building up your savings to advising on the best financial products. And we’ll review your Life Plan regularly so we can adapt it to meet your changing financial needs.

What your Life Plan might cover

Your Life Plan will be personal to you, so it could cover a range of different areas. But some of the general areas we’ll look at include savings, mortgages and yes, even pensions.

Your approach to saving money will play a key role in helping you to achieve just about all your ambitions. Why? Because almost everything you want to do in the future, from having great holidays to renting or buying a home will depend on having funds available. We’ll look at your income and outgoings, as well as your ambitions, to set realistic savings goals that mean you can enjoy life now and in the future.

If you’re looking to buy a home in the future, we’ll also look at the best mortgage products to suit your financial situation. This includes choosing options that enable you to pay off your mortgage as quickly as possible.

Did you know that for every ten years you leave investing in a pension, you’ll need to pay in twice as much to get the same benefit from it? So, although retirement seems a long way off, the sooner you start to invest in a pension, the less you’ll need to invest in it later on. It may even mean you can think about retiring earlyand just think how many more holidays you’ll be able to enjoy then!
